Akamon Ramen Bar: Savory Goodness from Noodles to Broth

Akamon Ramen Bar is another Japanese food place in Iloilo City where you must visit. A bowl of ramen is only one of the few goodness you can try in their place. Slowly the metro is getting filled of places where you can grab a good bowl of ramen.

Ramen craze is all-over the world and Ilonggos also get to love this flavorful soup from Japan. Akamon Ramen Bar is another ramen challenger in Iloilo City. It is located at the ground floor of SM Strata where you can grab a bowl or two after shopping or buying groceries from the mall or supermarket. Or you can just simply drop by when you crave for one. Aside from a bowl of ramen, you can also get other Japanese meals in the place.

Our visit was right after our midterm exam in a major subject. Since class ends at 9PM most of the restaurants in the city are already closed. We are happy that Akamon was open until midnight that time so we can recharge after a draining night.

How To Get There

As mentioned, this is located at SM Strata and the most convenient rides are SM City Proper and Leganes as there jeepneys will take you at the doorstep of the restaurant.

Other routes you can consider are SM City Mandurriao, Ungka ITGSI, Pavia and Sta. Barbara. You can drop by the unloading area dedicated for SM City and cross the service road going to Strata area.
