Cafe Sta. Hildegarda is the in-house café of Trappist Monastery and Trappist Giftshop. It is a newly-opened coffee and snack shop where you can rest and chill after your day-tour or pasalubong shopping. The Guimaras’ specialty is mangoes so it is no surprise that the place is selling snacks and drinks with mango elements.
Cafe Sta. Hildegarda Menu
They sell coffee – hot and cold, cream based and coffee alternatives. For perfect pair, they have cakes, cookies and pastries.
What We Had
We had their “off-the-menu” mango coffee. Some friends went for other cold brew and drinks choices.
If you are in a day tour this summer, Lenten season or Manggahan, you can also include this in itinerary.
Special Story
When we had our day tour in Guimaras, we decided to take packed lunch with us so we can save a meal. We were looking for a place to stop by, sit and eat what we have and we approached the staff of the café if we could use some of the tables and chairs for lunch. Without hesitation, they offered the 2nd floor area of the café so we can rest for a bit and enjoy our food. Lovely.
Trappist Giftshop
Just beside, the café, the gift shop is located. You can buy premium pasalubong items for your friends and love ones. Delicacies usually ranges from 50 php to 150 php. There are also bags, shirts and preserved goodies in bottles and jar.
Trappist Monastery
While you are in the area, you can also visit the Trappist Monastery. You can lit a candle and pray.
How to Get There
When you are from Iloilo, you need to ride a motor banca going to Jordan Terminal (Ortiz Wharf). Then look for tricycle or jeepney in Guimaras that can take you at Trappist Monastery.
