When it comes to a long list of Ilonggo comfort food, the majority might have the same entry – batchoy, pancit molo, Biscocho, KBL, and everything familiar in our ears and taste buds. Bistro Carcosa takes on the challenge to provide a new set of comfort food without sticking to the usual. It might be hesitant to try at first but everything is worth the value of your money.
Carcosa Menu
The place offers an international vibe with choices of hearty dishes and crafted drinks to give you a different kinds of comfort without going outside your hometown. They serve rice meals, quick snacks, and great drinks.
What We Had
We came as a group and we had more pica pica options – pizza, nachos, and calamari. It may create an intimidating first impression but it is worth a try, especially for those looking for a multi-cultural dining experience.
It was a quick visit and next time, we will make sure that we will be able to try their banner rice meals and offers.
How to Get There
It is located along the Festive Walk Parade nearer the ILOMOCA and Mamusa. The most convenient jeepney to ride is SM City Mandurriao and you need to drop it off at the corner of McDonalds. Jaro Mandurriao and jeepneys such as Alimodian, San Miguel, and Leon are also good options if you are from Jaro area. You just have to get off before the intersection (in ILOMOCA and Madison). Same jeepneys would be convenient to ride when you come from Mandurriao and Molo areas.
We might always picture ourselves that Iloilo is just about lutong bahay, seafood, batchoy, or siopao but it is always a good idea to try somewhere that is beyond the usual without disappointment. After all, Iloilo is a very promising place for new and adventurous flavors.
