Saj Hut introduces itself as a place that sells Lebanese shawarma. It is good to count the growing numbers of restaurants in Iloilo which serves Middle Eastern flavors. Like other restaurants, this place is serving food with tradition.
The owner did not Google or Youtube it but rather his knowledge, skills, and tradition. Not just for the sake of offering something new in the hearts of the Ilonggos but as well as sharing a piece of the place where they have been through.

Their flagship shawarma is their “saj” wraps. The main ingredient is not just ground pork or beef. This is a carefully prepared pork, beef, and chicken shawarma.
Saj is the term for the freshly made flat bread they use for wraps.
Also, they are serving rice meals where you can try their biryani chicken and kafta.

Saj Hut is located at their place in Alta Tierra Village in Jaro. If you are to pass by the main entrance – where the arc is located, you have to turn right at the first block. Saj Hut is at the 3rd house from the corner.
You can also ask the tricycle and trisikad drivers for the exact location.

Through the years, another cuisine that is growing in numbers in the city is the one offering a Middle Eastern flavor. Ilonggos welcome the flavors of this diversity of dishes even if it is a little far from the palate we have.
