The very first experience I had with JD was when I was still in my elementary years when a box of assorted bar cookies was my favorite contribution during Christmas parties. The branch in Citadel was the most proximate so it has always been a go-to merienda place. Palabok was then sold below 20php same with ginata-an. During lunch, we would join a long queue and see if their barbecue and atsara is still available. That was the friendliest lunch set for student’s pockets.
Years after that, JD has remained to be our go-to place when we crave budget-friendly Ilonggo favorites. From snacks, desserts, cakes, and pasalubong, any branch of JD will never fail.
JD Bakery Cafe Menu
JD’s menu is versatile. You can eat here from breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, takeaways, delivery, gifts or choices which you can easily take with you in school or office.
What We Had
Another unplanned JD (General Luna branch) meal after work. Technically it was a late lunch and the part (where the JD Burger Project is now) is currently under renovation so we have to eat outside. It was a “loaded” meal for us. We had their callos, fried chicken, bihon, chicken inasal, revel bars, fresh lumpia, palabok, and cake in a cup.
How to Get There
This is from their branch along General Luna Street (RoadHouse). You can visit here by getting a jeepney which passes through this streets namely:

It is always a good feeling to continue eating in a place where you literally and figuratively grew up with.
