The very first experience I had with JD is when I was still on my elementary years when a box of assorted bar cookies was my favorite contribution during Christmas parties. The branch in Citadel was the most proximate so it has always been a go to merienda place. Palabok was then sold below 20php same with ginata-an. During lunch, we would join a long queue and see if their barbecue and atsara is still available. That was the friendliest lunch sets for student’s pocket.
Years after that, JD has remained to be our go-to place when we crave for budget-friendly Ilonggo favorites. From snacks, dessert, cakes, and pasalubong, any branch of JD will never fail.

What We Had
Another unplanned JD (General Luna branch) meal after work. Technically it was a late lunch and the part (where JD Burger Project is now) is currently under renovation so we have to eat outside. It was a “loaded” meal for us. We had their callos, fried chicken, bihon, chicken inasal, revel bars, fresh lumpia, palabok and cake in a cup.
How to Get There
This is from their branch along General Luna Street (RoadHouse). You can visit here by getting jeepney which are passing through this streets namely: SM City Proper from SM, SM City Mandurriao from Mandurriao, Baluarte Derecho from Molo areas, Villa Mohon and Baybay from Arevalo areas. You can also take Jaro Liko NFA and La Paz jeepney and get off in corner General Luna-Jalandoni Streets. Ungka ITGSI going Ungka is also passing here.
Other branches which you can check out are in Citadel (beside Iloilo Doctors Hospital), in front of Saint Paul’s Hospital, SM City Iloilo, and Iloilo International Airport.
It is always a good feeling to continue eating in a placing where you literally and figuratively grew up with.
