Iloilo City Government and Iloilo Provincial Government welcomed the Embassy of India last May 30-31, 2023 as part of its ongoing initiatives to strengthen India-Philippines B2B Connect, 6th edition of “India Business Roadshow”.
Participants were the leading Indian businesses from IT-BPM and ITeS; Pharma and Healthcare; Engineering and Automobile; Renewable; Agriculture, Irrigation and Chemicals; Innovative Tech Solutions (Startups), and others.
The event was led by His Excellency Indian Ambassador to the Philippines Shambhu S. Kumaran. Last Tuesday, May 30, 2023, in the afternoon at Richmond Hotel Iloilo. H.E. Indian Ambassador to the Philippines Shambhu S. Kumaran attended the press conference where he shared that this is the first India Business Roadshow they did in the Visayas. Summing up, they aim to try to forge connections that could lead to business deals through building partnerships with various sectors, particularly in the whole of Iloilo because of the “economic momentum” the city and the province are into.
It was followed by the business roadshow proper on May 31, 2023, at Courtyard by Marriot. The half-day event was attended by nearly 30 leading Indian firms from various industry sectors mentioned above and representatives from the city and the province to pitch what Iloilo can offer.
Lastly, the Indian Women in Enterprise, Philippines (I-WE Philippines) conducted a Tech2Transform MSME Meet last June 1, 2023, Thursday at Festive Walk Iloilo Mall Business Center.
The event was attended by Nishikant Singh, Counsellor (Economic and Commerce) of the Embassy of India; I-WE President Priya Murugesan; VP Sharon Vaswani; Director for Affiliate Programs Sonia Mansukhani; Philippine Chamber of Commerce & Industry Iloilo Chapter (PCCI-Iloilo) President Fulbert Woo.
I-WE Philippines is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing a platform for women in enterprise in the Philippines.
The Embassy is closely working with the India Business Forum Philippines Association Inc. and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI-Iloilo).
