The Aoi of Dumangas has finally opened a branch in Iloilo City. Aoi (pronounced as ah-oh-ee but faster and gliding like “ahoy” in chips ahoy but less h “aoy” – not a phonetic way to explain the pronunciation), means “blue/bluish” in Japanese.
Iloilo is another Japanese place serving well-loved Japanese cuisine of the Ilonggos like ramen, gyoza, sushi, and tonkatsu. It is known for its unique flavors, textures, and presentation. Japanese food is famous for using fresh and seasonal ingredients to balance the flavors.
