This 2023, the Iloilo Provincial Capitol has transformed once again into a Christmas destination. Labeled as the “Barangay Kapitolyo” this year, Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. aims to make it a family destination.
Visiting holiday light displays at the capitol is a festive and magical way to celebrate the holiday season. It is one of the famous and spectacular holiday lights displays around the city.
What to do
Take a Stroll
Walk through the display at a leisurely pace, taking in the beauty of the lights and decorations. The displays are designed to be enjoyed on foot, allowing you to appreciate the details up close.
Photography
Capture the magic of the holiday lights with your camera or smartphone. Experiment with different angles and settings to create memorable photos.
Live Performances
The lights display includes live performances such as local bands. There is also other entertainment wherein there are “Disney Princesses” assigned regularly so the kids can enjoy photo opportunities.
Enjoy the Food Festival
Attending a food festival is a delightful experience, giving us a chance to explore diverse culinary delights and discover new flavors. You can also bring a blanket or simply find a cozy spot to sit and enjoy the lights with your meal.
Visit the trade fair
Check also the trade shows or exhibitions at the Capitol Grounds. This provides a platform for businesses to showcase their products and services, connect with potential customers, and stay updated on industry trends.
Clean as you go
This is always a season to clean up after yourself. Minimize littering and throw your garbage in the proper bins.
