The USWAG Scholarship Program is part of Iloilo City’s W.H.E.E.L.S. roadmap (Welfare, Health, Environment, Education, Livelihood, Sustainability) under Education.
Under the program, qualified beneficiaries get P5, 000 cash assistance per semester. To inspire the Uswag scholars to strive more with excellence, the City Mayor gives out cash incentive for those who graduate with Latin honors.
Here are the requirements:
– Must be a residency of Iloilo City
– Must have a good moral character
– Total gross income should not exceed P220,000.00 per annum for the last two years
– Both parents or guardians must be residents of Iloilo City for at least two years
– Graduating from any public or recognized private senior high school in Iloilo City, or currently enrolled in a college or university accredited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) in Iloilo City, maintaining a minimum grade of 80% in all subjects
– Final equivalent rating of 80% or above in the competitive examination conducted by the commission
– Must be enrolling in a Bachelor’s or Baccalaureate degree course in any college or university in Iloilo City recognized or accredited by CHED (excluding courses offered at Iloilo City Community College)
Visit the office of the USWAG Scholarship at the 7th Floor of the Iloilo City Hall, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
