Takuri Cafe: Asian Fusion Dishes

You do not have to travel as far as Malaysia and Vietnam to taste authentic Malaysian and Vietnamese cuisine. Now, with just a ride or two, you can already experience a whole new food experience courtesy of Takuri Cafe just within Iloilo City. The place is just located in Cuartero, Jaro but it has the power to offer you a whole new gastronomic experience.

The place is ideal for meet up and dine out especially if you and your friends are looking for a place that is peaceful and away from city distractions. The food resembles the Filipino cuisine in some ways. For example, their spring roll is like our fresh lumpia, their mee goreng is like our pancit and their laksa is like our sinigang? Oh, I’m lost for words but there are some visuals to help:

From the name itself, you will get a clue that the place is filled with – surprise! Takuri! Different sizes, different colors, different materials. It is a good idea that whatever you collects, you can turn it a primary décor or theme for your (who knows) future restaurant.

How to Get There

I thought it would be too hard to explain the location but not really. It would be convenient if you take a cab but commuter can also have their chance. Let me try to elaborate the possible routes.

takuri entrance
The place is located in Cuartero, Jaro. It is just walking distance from the barangay’s signage. From the city you can ride Mandurriao SM City, Ungka ITGSI, Pavia and Sta. Barbara. Just tell the driver to drop you at Cuartero, Jaro. Landmark is behind JIGA Tires. You’ll not reach Carlo’s Bakeshop’s block.
