Sunflower Garden or Kalan-an Sa Garden

Sunflower Garden in Barotac Nuevo is blooming from time to time to make Ilonggos, local tourist and foreign tourist happy. The fields are filled with beautiful sunflowers that you don’t need to “angle” to make your pictures pretty. Here at Brgy. Tinorian, you can simply get yourself lost in the sea of this lovely flowers.

Sunflower Garden Entrance Fee

Entrance Fee is at 50php with endless photo opportunities. Sunflower picking is available.

Plants vs. Zombies (PVZ) Theme

Remember the famous PopCap game in the 2010’s? Sunflowers are giving sun (money) so you can purchase other plants to protect your brains from the getting eaten by the zombies. Here, you can put on a zombie masks and they also have several PVZ photo walls.

Photo Opportunities

Aside from the sunflowers, the garden is also blooming with other plants and gimmicks for picture taking. You can use their tractor, viewing decks, photo walls, mini wells and houses.

How to Get There

You can come here the simplest way. It is just located beside the national highway so no need for complicated instruction. It is in your right side.

From Ceres Terminal:

Just ride a Ceres Bus going to Ajuy, Barotac Viejo or Concepcion. Tell the “konduktor” to drop you at the Sunflower Maze in Barotac Nuevo.

From Tagbak Terminal:

Ride a Barotac Nuevo jeepney and get off at the “tinda” or their plaza. From there, ride a tricycle or jeepney (Anilao) and tell them to drop you at the Sunflower Garden.

The bloom of sunflowers only have a specific schedule. It is highly recommended to message their Facebook Page (Kalan-an sa Garden) for their full bloom schedules. They are also announcing the schedules from time to time.

You can buy souvenir in the place and they also sell sunflower seedlings. Just coordinate with their staff.
