Sukhumvit Thai Deli by Takuapa Thai Deli is one restaurant you must check in Iloilo City if you are craving for authentic Thai food. More than their mouth-watering food, they promise to offer an experience where you can taste the symphony of flavors from their ingredients and sauces.

For first-timers like me, don’t worry too much because their menu have pictures so you’ll have an idea what the dish looks like. Their staff are also friendly enough to explain to you the menu.

What We Had

We did not miss their Pad Thai. We also tried their Chicken Curry and Khao Pad See Ew. We paired these with Cucumber Lemonade drinks.

How to Get There

Sukhumvit Thai Deli is still located in the part of Diversion Road but already in Cuartero area. There are plenty of PUJ available so the location is accessible. Also, they are located just along one side of the street so you will not have a difficult time finding them.

If you are coming from the city, it is located after SM City just one block before Carlos Bakeshop. However, you can’t ride an SM City Proper jeepney or Leganes. Instead, you should ride any of these:

• Mandurriao SM City
• Ungka ITGSI
• Pavia
• Sta. Barbara
• Any interior jeepney going Southern Iloilo such as Cabatuan or Maasin

For someone who is not really expert when it comes to food, I can safely say that my taste buds liked what we ordered. It’s a good experience to try other cuisine sometimes. It’s a good thing we can experience other cultures through their food. We are lucky we don’t need to leave Iloilo City just to have some.
