Seven years of heartfelt service: Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo celebrates anniversary with tributes to heritage and community

ILOILO CITY, Philippines — Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo officially marks its seventh year in the City of Love and Creative Gastronomy, celebrating a journey defined by Ilonggo hospitality, culinary milestones, and deep-rooted community partnerships.

Since opening in 2019, the hotel has evolved into a cornerstone of Iloilo’s tourism landscape. This year’s anniversary theme, “7 Years of Ilonggo Hospitality,” serves as a tribute to the warmth and authenticity that Team Members bring to every guest interaction.

Global Standards, Local Flavors

The past year has been one of significant achievement for the property. Most notably, the hotel earned the Safehotels Certification, an international benchmark that validates the property’s rigorous safety and security protocols.

On the culinary front, the hotel’s kitchen team brought Ilonggo heritage to the national stage at the 16th National Food Showdown, taking home a Gold medal for its very own Bibingka and Silver for Valenciana in the Professional Category.

“Food is more than just a meal; it is the strongest bridge we have to our culture,” said Rouel Guanzon, General Manager of Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo. “These awards recognize the passion of our chefs who work tirelessly to elevate the traditions that inspire us daily.”

Innovation and Storytelling

To modernize the guest experience, the hotel recently integrated StayPlease, a digital platform that allows guests to browse menus and order dining services directly from their devices.

Beyond the hotel walls, the property has championed local history through several key initiatives:

  • Beyond the Plate: A masterclass in partnership with the Iloilo MICE Center, focusing on gastronomical storytelling for students and digital creators.
  • Panubli-on: A documentary-style series launched at the hotel’s signature restaurant, Áni, which features the stories behind iconic local recipes. Featured families included the Varonas (Adobado nga Lukon), Ms. Pinky Gorriceta-Jalandoni (Bibingka), and the heritage of Kap Ising’s Pancit Molo.

Empowering People

The anniversary also highlights individual excellence within the team. Ms. Lucky Alunan was recently named the Front of the House Winner at the SMHCC President’s Go Beyond Awards. Furthermore, General Manager Rouel Guanzon has taken on leadership roles as the Public Information Officer for the Iloilo Hotels, Restaurants and Resorts Association (IHRRA) and Committee Director for the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Iloilo.

A Legacy of Care

In a show of gratitude to the city, the hotel team recently visited the Iloilo City Pound and Animal Shelter. The staff donated essential supplies and spent time with volunteers to support local rescue efforts.

“At its core, hospitality is about care,” Guanzon added. “Whether we are serving a guest, supporting our local business community, or looking out for our four-legged friends, we believe these acts of kindness are what make Iloilo special.”

The festivities wrapped up with a heartfelt anniversary party on April 27, 2026, dedicated to the team that drives Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo’s success. The following day, the hotel hosted a commemorative luncheon to honor the media partners who have been telling their story since the very beginning.

As it enters its eighth year, Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo remains committed to being a “home away from home,” blending modern comfort with the unmistakable spirit of Ilonggo grace.
