The Iloilo City Government, with Mayor Jerry Trenas and his friends from the private sector, organized an initiative to produce free pandesal daily delivered to all barangays in Iloilo City during the times when the city was placed to Enhanced Community Quarantine (“ECQ”).
Iloilo City’s Ilonggo Pandesal
“Ilonggo Pandesal” is the name of the said project and every pandesal is baked with love by the Ilonggo bakers for the Ilonggo people. Distribution has started April 7, 2020 and these were delivered to 180 barangays in Iloilo City for free.

The City of Love
Ilonggo Pandesal is another proof of what makes Iloilo City the City of Love. The love and care that the city is getting from the private sector. Since the implementation of enhanced community quarantine, help has been overwhelming. It gives the Mayor and every Ilonggo more strength to even work harder for our city.
