The Iloilo City Government actively participated in the Regional Simultaneous Earthquake and Tsunami Drill held yesterday, October 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM, in coordination with the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

City officials, employees, and residents joined the activity to strengthen preparedness, awareness, and coordination in responding to seismic and tsunami hazards. The drill came in the wake of recent high-magnitude earthquakes in Zambales, Davao, and Cebu, underscoring the importance of readiness in times of natural disasters.

Mayor Raisa Treñas emphasized: “Preparedness is an act of love para sa aton pinalangga nga syudad. Together, let’s stay ready and alert to protect our families, and live out the spirit of a compassionate and resilient Iloilo City.”

Through continued participation in these initiatives, Iloilo City reaffirms its commitment to fostering a safe, compassionate, and disaster-resilient community.
