Iloilo City’s Garden of Love is a project initiated by the Iloilo City’s Beautification Program. This is located along the roads of Barangay Nabitasan, La Paz, Iloilo. If you are jogging, walking, or exploring the Iloilo Esplanade from the ones near Gaisano City or near in front of Iloilo Hall of Justice, you will reach the Iloilo City’s Garden of Love on the other side.
Right now, it may not be as grand as any other flower garden, the one in Sirao or Amsterdam, Ilonggos can take pride in flexing this humble flower garden to the world. With the support of the Iloilo City Government and its constituents, who knows one day it will grow as big as other famous names?
It started as plain flower beds with roughly a few species of flora. Until such time it has added more and more attractions such as photo opportunities – from the big hearts to photo walls such as sunflowers, Dinagyang warrior, and Paraw Regatta – where visitors can take photos.
Endless Photo Opportunities
There are also benches and Bahay Kubo around so when you feel tired or you just want to pause and appreciate the beauty around you, there are chairs and tables you can use.
Animal figures like a lion, horse and deer are also installed in one area so that kids and kids at heart can also take photos with them. Gnomes and other cute ornamental figurines are also there.
Lastly, the Garden of Love prides itself on a scenic Garden Pond full of Koi fishes.
Wholesome Treat for the Family
The Garden of Love is open from 6:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. But to fully appreciate the best view of the garden, please come before sundown.
There is something to enjoy for the whole family. The kids can freely interact with the animal figures, Koi pond, and photo walls with the supervision of the adult.
Our senior members can also roam around the garden without the fear of getting tired immediately because there are benches where they can sit and take rests in between.
Everyone will love to snap and add photos to their feed.
