Dominican Sisters of Molo

Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Rosary or the Dominican Sisters of Molo is the second Filipino congregation of nuns founded in the Philippines. It is founded by Ilonggo nun in 1925. She is María Beatriz del Rosario Arroyo y Pidal (María Rosario of the Visitation).

The lots were the property is currently located was donated by the parents of Sister Rosario. Her father is Ignacio Arroyo and her mother Maria Rey del Pidal.

Sister Rosario’s brother are Sen. Jose Ma. Arroyo and Gov. Mariano Arroyo. Furthermore, she is the great grand aunt of then First Gentleman José Miguel “Mike” Tuason Arroyo. He is husband of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo – the fourteenth President of the Philippines.

At present, the congregation has communities throughout the country and abroad. These are in Saipan Islands, Kenya, Hawaii, California and also in Rome.

Dominican Sisters Schools

At this time, they have the following:

Holy Rosary Academy in Molo;
St. Anthony Abbot Parochial School in Tubungan;
Mary Immaculate Academy in Calinog;
Immaculate Concepcion Parochial School in Oton;
Eucharistic King Academy in Sara;
St. Jerome Academy in Dueñas;
St. Anne Catholic School in Balasan;
Sacred Heart Academy in Zarraga;
Holy Rosary Academy in Guimaras;
St. Martin Academy in Dumalag;
Our Lady of Fatima Academy in Dao; and
St. Joseph.

They also have schools in their communities in other parts of the countries like in Mindanao and Luzon. They also have them in their communities abroad.

About them

The Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Rosary of the Philippines are called to sanctify themselves and others. Especially, they live a life centered on the Eucharist and devote themselves to the Holy Rosary. In short, they live a life in the spirit of Truth, prayer, simplicity, joy, service and compassion.

They are faithful to the charism of St. Dominic de Guzman. They are also faithful to Foundress Mother Rosario Arroyo De La Visitation. In addition, they continue to commit to the evangelizing mission of the Church. To summarize, they are actively participating in building a God-loving, humane and transformed society.
