September is the start of harvest of many agricultural crops and the last day of the month is the feast of St. Jerome, the town’s patron Saint. Anihan is Duenas’ expression of thanksgiving for the bountiful production of its agricultural crops.

The main feature is the tribal which is dance competition characterized by street dancing dance interpretative and an depicting the practices, customs and traditions of Dueñasanons before or during the harvest season. Other activities include agro-industrial fair that showcase the different varieties of ornamental plants, food festival, garden show, and “Laro ng Lahi.” This annual activity spearheaded by the Local Government Unit with the full support of the Anihan Festival Committee.
