7-Eleven Philippines marks another milestone with 2,500th ATM activation in Iloilo

Philippine Seven Corporation (PSC), the exclusive licensor of 7-Eleven in the Philippines, announced today the installation of its 2,500th ATM at the 7-Eleven Avida Atria Tower 1, Donato Avenue, Mandurriao, in Iloilo City. Marking the entry of ATMs in branches within the city, it is set to provide 24/7 easy access to cash for 7-Eleven customers and the general public.

This installation is part of the company’s continued expansion of its ATM network, in partnership with Pito AxM Platform, Inc. (PAPI), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seven Bank Ltd. of Japan. PSC and PAPI aim to cover more than 3,000 7-Eleven stores nationwide by the end of 2023.

In light of this momentous occasion, PSC President and CEO Jose Victor Paterno shares his enthusiasm, stating, “Today, we are one step closer to fulfilling our mission to bring modern convenience. The installation of the 2,500th ATM represents a major milestone, and we take great pride in being at the forefront of providing accessible financial services.  We thank Seven Bank for the fast roll-out of its ATMs in our stores and remain confident that our stores are the most viable location for its pioneering and innovative cash recyclers.”

Paterno further emphasizes the impact of this achievement on customer experience, stating, “At 7-Eleven, we understand that convenience extends beyond satisfying immediate needs. Our vision is to create an ecosystem where customers can access essential services effortlessly, and the addition of ATMs has been a pivotal step in realizing this goal.”

(PAPI) President Mr. Masanori Sakaguchi; ATM Operations Head Ms. Ricci Pagkalinawan; and IT Project Manager Mr. Mat Tacolod

In February 2020, PSC and PAPI joined forces to establish a partnership aimed at installing, operating, and maintaining ATMs at 7-Eleven stores throughout the Philippines. Demonstrating their dedication to innovation, these ATMs are designed as cash-recyclers, which take cash deposits from 7-Eleven stores, for the public to withdraw. Moreover, each ATM boasts a distinctive functionality that seamlessly adapts its interface to match the customer’s bank, ensuring familiarity and convenience for users.

With this, 7-Eleven solidifies its position as the leader in the convenience store space constantly innovating to meet the evolving needs of its customers.

As with the other existing ATMs at 7-Eleven, BDO and Landbank cardholders  still enjoy zero transaction fees.
