St. Mary’s Hospital as Discussed via Old Iloilo Group

St. Mary’s Hospital was owned by Cocjin Family. In a post via Old Iloilo, Larry Asong Asumbra shared in the comment section that Mrs. Maria Cocjin was the Administrator.

In the same thread, Bopeep Singer added that in the late 50s and early 60s when the US trained doctors started coming back to the Philippines they practiced at St Mary’s and St Paul’s. The owners, Dr. and Mrs. Cocjin were always seen making rounds and greeting patients and their families, and checking on the functioning of their hospital.

This photo was taken by Mr. Vero Paloma as shown by the mark at the lower left corner and uploaded by Nereo Cajilig Luján in the Old Iloilo Facebook group.
