As an active Reddit girlie, it was usual for me to respond on “ano sakyan ko” moments under r/iloilo subreddit. One day, someone slid into my message asking for help on jeepney routes as they will be exploring Iloilo City for a day.
The message goes this way:

I’m the one who has read your blog post re: Jeepney guides. I can share our itinerary. It’ll be a great help if you could provide the jeepney routes for the places below. Thank you so much!
1) Roberto’s Siopao – Operating Hours: 8 am to 5:30 pm
2) Batchoy in Popoy’s – Operating Hours: 7 am to 8 pm
3) Jr. Rawit’s Native Lechon Manok, Central Market – Operating Hours: N/A
4) Lafang by Salam Ukan – Operating Hours: 10am to 7pm
5) Bayebaye Ice Cream at Happy Endings Creamery – Operating Hours: 10:00 am to 10:00 pm
6) Coffee at Madge Cafe – Operating Hours: 6 am to 6 pm
7) Pasalubong from Original Biscocho House – 7am to 6:30 pm
8) Pancit Molo in Kap Ising – Operating Hours: 8:30 am to 8 pm
9) Adobo Native Chicken in Y2K Talabahan – 10am to 9pm
10) Visit Jaro Cathedral – Always open
11) Mamaca Frozen Yogurt – Operating Hours: 11:00 am to 11:00 pm
12) Boat Ride (ILO-BCD): 5:30 to 6:30 pm Departure Location: New Iloilo Ferry Terminal Access Rd, Lapuz, Iloilo City, 5000 Iloilo
They will be arriving also via fast craft and here are my responses:
1. From Fast Craft Terminal usually there is a jeepney (ROUTE 1 BO. OBRERO, LAPUZ TO CITY PROPER LOOP waiting) you can board that and tell the driver that you are headed to Roberto’s. If there’s none, there are tricycles and you can alight at Capitol or Socorro and board a ROUTE 3 UNGKA TO CITY PROPER VIA CPU LOOP going to Robertos.
Note: There’s one jeepney passing by the area ROUTE 18 TAGBAK TO CITY PROPER VIA COASTAL LOOP going to Roberto’s but the number of units is quite low right now so the wait time can be longer.
2. From Roberto’s to Popoy’s you can walk but the jeepneys to board are:
ROUTE 5 FESTIVE WALK TO CITY PROPER VIA B. AQUINO AVE. AND SM CITY LOOP
ROUTE 9 MOHON TO CITY PROPER LOOP
ROUTE 25 MOLO TO CITY PROPER VIA GENERAL LUNA LOOP
3. Popoy’s and Rawit are near to each other. It will take you less than 20 steps.
4. No jeepney passes by Smallville but you can alight Citi Hardware and walk going inside. From Central Market to Diversion, you can board ROUTE 5 FESTIVE WALK TO CITY PROPER VIA B. AQUINO AVE. AND SM CITY LOOP. From Smallville you need to walk outside the Diversion Road again (across Citi Hardware) the most ideal jeep to board is ROUTE 21 TAGBAK / BUNTATALA TO FESTIVE WALK VIA SM CITY / ATRIA LOOP. It will pass by Tabucan Elementary School – across that is Happy Endings. You can also board ROUTE 5 FESTIVE WALK TO CITY PROPER VIA B. AQUINO AVE. AND SM CITY LOOP but note that it will still be going to SM City before passing by Tabucan Elementary School.
6-9 From across Happy Endings, board an Outside Iloilo City: Oton Anhawan Jeepney Route or Outside Iloilo City: Oton Derecho Jeepney Route going Atria – all here are Atria area.
9 – If you want Y2K in diversion, from Atria, you need to board ROUTE 5 FESTIVE WALK TO CITY PROPER VIA B. AQUINO AVE. AND SM CITY LOOP going to the Y2K Diversion main branch.
- 9.1 – If Y2K is in Atria, you need to board a ROUTE 21 TAGBAK / BUNTATALA TO FESTIVE WALK VIA SM CITY / ATRIA LOOP going to Jaro Cathedral
- 9.2 if Y2K is in the Diversion branch, you need to cross the street and board ROUTE 20 MOHON TO JARO VIA SO OC / FESTIVE WALK / ISATU LOOP or ROUTE 14 HIBAO-AN TO JARO VIA B. AQUINO AVE. / FESTIVE LOOP. There are also lots of tricycles going to the cathedral.
11. Cathedral to Mamaca board ROUTE 20 MOHON TO JARO VIA SO OC / FESTIVE WALK / ISATU LOOP or ROUTE 14 HIBAO-AN TO JARO VIA B. AQUINO AVE. / FESTIVE LOOP going to Festive for Mamaca. Or a tricycle going Festive beside the Cathedral.
12. If you are coming from Festive, you can board a ROUTE 5 FESTIVE WALK TO CITY PROPER VIA B. AQUINO AVE. AND SM CITY LOOP until Atrium. Then from Atrium, board a ROUTE 1 BO. OBRERO, LAPUZ TO CITY PROPER LOOP going to Fast Craft Terminal but ask first if they are willing to go to Fast Craft Terminal because not all of them are going in there.
If you are not sure where the loading area is, you can always ask the local around like vendors, before boarding a jeep, you can always tell the driver/passenger assistant officer if the modern jeep is where you are going to confirm you board the right jeep.
