How to Create a Facebook Page (2020)

If you are going to google “how to set up facebook page” there is already about 1,450,000,000 results in 0.87 seconds and now I am adding one. I am creating this very detailed, step-by-step guide for everyone who wanted to set up their own pages but they are not too sure yet where to start.

This post is optimized for mobile users.

Step 1

From your Facebook app, while logged in on your Facebook profile, go to that “three horizontal line” icon.

Step 2

It will take you to this. Look for “Pages” and click that.

You will be redirected to this page. Click on “Create”.

Step 4

Something like this may pop up. Just click “Get Started”.

Step 5

In the field you can see in red box, this is where you place the name of your business. You can type here. When you are done, press the “NEXT” button below it.

Step 6

Do not skip on adding the categories. Take some time to input the keywords that best describes your page. These categories will help you find your audience.

Press the “NEXT” button below it.

If you can’t readily find the one, utilize the search button for suggestion as shown in the screenshot.

Adding at least one is already enough. But you can optimize your page by adding up to three categories.

Step 7

Do not forget to add an address if your business has a physical location where your customer can find you. For online sellers or business with NO physical address yet, you can simply tick the box beside “I don’t want to add an address”. Click “NEXT” as shown in the screenshot below.

You can modify the search deeper to a more exact location.

Step 8

Congratulations! You now have successfully setup your business page.

Other Important Tips (You May Temporarily Skip)

After setting up, Facebook will remind you of few tips you can do to enhance you new page. You can follow and read the tips through clicking the “NEXT” button.

Add Images

Adding your logo as the profile picture and a feature image of your business as the cover photo is a good start to establish a branding.

Invite Your Friends to Like

Do not be too shy to send invititation to like your page to your friends. Inviting personal friends can be a good start to build your audience.

Create Post

Finally, welcome to creating your first ever Facebook post! As a page.
