Thanks to Palawan Pawnshop Group’s (PPG) PalawanPay app and the Palawan Express Pera Padala (PEPP) network nationwide, Filipinos can now send and receive remittances anytime anywhere, especially in times of crisis when there’s limited mobility or a crisis going on.
Sending and receiving money, paying bills and doing financial transactions are now literally just a few clicks and taps away.
The Palawan Express Pera Padala (PEPP) network is the leading domestic remittance network in the country and has been the Filipino family’s partner in providing mura, mabilis at walang kuskos balungos na serbisyo for all, making sure remittances sent by loved ones to their families are received on time and in the most accessible means possible.
With the new PalawanPay app, the PEPP experience is even faster, safer, and more hassle-free. Like other e-wallets, PalawanPay provides convenient remittance and receiving options, including free wallet to wallet transfers. But what makes it stand out though is its Send to any Palawan branch feature, where PalawanPay users can send money to any PEPP branch or authorized agent nationwide and have their remittance beneficiaries claim directly from these branches.
Having an app that makes remittance easier for both sender and receiver is consistent with PPG’s goal of financial inclusion.
“One of Palawan Pawnshop Group’s key strengths lies in domestic remittance. We constantly strive to improve the money sending and receiving experience of our sukis. Ever since the pandemic hit, there’s been a constant demand to innovate and offer digital options for our sukis, and we are very happy to be able to fulfill that now with PalawanPay,” said PPG president and CEO Bobby L. Castro.
Aside from sending money, PalawanPay also gives users access to other financial services such as paying bills, e-loading and scanning to pay. Users can cash-in or cash-out at any PEPP branch or participating agent nationwide.
“We have a relationship with our customers and we serve them well because we know how important it is for them to send money to their loved ones or to pay their bills on time. But more than these services, we are constantly adding new features to PalawanPay so as to address the growing financial needs and services of our sukis,” said Third Librea, Business Executive Officer of PalawanPay.
Founded in 1985, PPG has been providing their customers with convenient options of paying, sending, and receiving money. Other products in the company’s pipeline for development include transfers between other banks and e-wallets, renewal of pawns, international remittance, and many others. PalawanPay also plans to continuously increase the number of its biller partners to make payments more accessible nationwide.
PalawanPay can be downloaded on mobile phones via the Google Play Store and the Apple iOS App Store.
