The Iloilo City Government is all set for the 87th Iloilo City Charter Day celebration on August 25, 2024. This year’s theme for the Iloilo City Charter Anniversary is “RISE, Iloilo City: Remarkable Ilonggos Sustaining Excellence at 87.”
This year, the Iloilo City Government will give a fitting tribute and recognition to carefully selected exemplary Ilonggos who have excelled in various fields and made a mark both locally and internationally.
The award, dubbed Ten Outstanding Ilonggos of Iloilo City (TOIIC), will be given as one of the highlights of the Charter Day celebration on August 23, 2024. Selection of the outstanding Ilonggos is based on advocacy; community service/leadership; recognition/awards received; academic and professional achievement; and inspirational/sustained excellence
Another award that will be given is the Rising Public Servants Award (RPSA) for Police Officers, Teachers, and School Principals.
The 87th Iloilo City Charter Day is made more complete by various sporting events. Local athletes will again face intense matches and fun recreational activities. The sports enthusiasts will have their time to enjoy and showcase their skills and sportsmanship.
