Manggahan Festival is the main festival of the Province of Guimaras. It showcases the richness of the culture of the province, celebrated every month of May, month-long activities to show the gratitude and blessings they have for their land.
This year’s festival is grander. Aside from the famous mangoes display, mangoes all you can, performances, the brains of the Manggahan Festival 2023 incorporated a lot of activities for the locals and the neighboring provinces can enjoy and participate.
There will be a Mango Harvest Festival where guests have the opportunity to experience mango picking and pay for what they have harvested. Other activities include a battle of the bands, culinary contest, bike fest, street dance battle, job fair, color fun run with celebrity guests, folk dance competition, dog show, basketball games, pageant, and a lot of celebrities.
Manggahan Festival 2023 Schedule of Activities
The festival started with the “Imbukada” on April 29. The opening included a mass, program, the opening of the Agri-Fishery and Eco-Tourism Expo and art exhibit, an open dance sport competition, and a live band.
The highlight week is on May 19-22. The province is fully prepared for the influx of local and foreign tourists on this said weekend. This is the time when each of the municipalities will showcase their culture to the public. This is also the week of the most-anticipated “Mango-Eat-All-You-Can” will happen.
Mangoes and More
The theme of this year’s Manggahan is “Mangoes and More”. The leadership of Guimaras is in the direction of highlighting not just their sweet and succulent mangoes but also showcasing their other products like their dragonfruit, bangus, other seafood, and other farm products.
Manggahan is the main celebration of the province and they are looking into programs and activities to make sure that their place will not only be known as a place of mangoes but also a place of tourist spots, sporting and outdoor events, agro and farm products, and more.
Extended Ferry Schedules
Exclusive for Manggahan Festival, Ferry trips have extended their trips up until 2:00 A.M. so people from Iloilo City and Iloilo Province can still go home after attending the festivals. International ports were opened to cater to more tourists.
Iloilo residents can ride these jeepneys going to Parola where they can ride a ferry going to Guimaras Province:

For the tricycle rates from port to venue, the province has released their guide for fixed tariff rates to avoid overpricing.
