Where to eat lunch is always a challenge for us office workers. Good thing there is a Grab app so we can place whatever we crave via a few swipes and clicks. In our setup, we only have an hour of lunch break and sometimes if we would opt to lunch out, we are more prone to over break.

JD Bakery and Café’s Chicken and Callos
I work in the Megaworld area and there is no JD nearby. Too grateful that Grab exists so I can enjoy JD meals whenever I want. We can all agree that their fried chicken hits differently and pairing it with callos is divine.
Big Bad Bowls’ Tapa
I have been in search of the best tapa in Iloilo City and Big Bad Bowls’ is great. I haven’t tasted every tapa place in town, but I can say that their version is the best I have tasted so far. And yes, Big Bad Bowls is so far from work, and Grab does its magic so I can have my favorite tapa anytime. Anytime, because literally, they are open 24/7 and so is the Grab app.
Ribshack’s Chicken Inasal Steak
Surprisingly, it’s steak – boneless! Sometimes I carry with me my rice (because rice is life) and good thing some food places would allow a la carte options. Since Iloilo is a neighbor of Bacolod where inasal is so famous, Iloilo is also the house of the best inasal places in the country. There are days when we are missing the flavor of Ribshack. It will be opening soon inside Festive Walk Mall (near my workplace) but for now, I can make use of Grab to order this.
Aside from lunch meals, I also like merienda offered by the app. Since we are too near the Festive Walk Mall, I can conveniently place my orders and pick them up from the store.
Razon’s by Glenn’s Palabok Special
Iloilo might not be the home of this dish, but it is well-loved by Ilonggos. Razon’s by Glenn’s palabok is too good to be left out from the list. Before going home from work, I can conveniently pick up my palabok from their store.
Prince Baker’s Drinks
Aside from food, drinks are also essential for office workers. Coffee is the top tier drink for me, but we also welcome refreshing teas and milk teas. Prince Baker is also another neighbor bakery where I can place my food or drink order of the day and pick it up to enjoy it.
These are only five food establishments that are in GrabFood which offer the best value for our money. There are still a lot more. Iloilo is indeed a food haven, there is a value meal for any craving, in our most convenient ways.
