The ancestral home was built by spouses Virgilio and Salud Escarilla-Montinola. This was passed on to their son Virgilio Escarilla Montinola, who owned a large expanse of land in Barangays Bolobitoon and Balabago in Jaro that was purchased by Alta Tierra Resources, Inc. -owners & developers of Alta Tierra Village.
