UPVTC Unit Heads, Staff Benchmark Admin Process of UPV

Unit heads and staff from the administrative section of the University of the Philippines Visayas Tacloban College (UPVTC) benchmarked the administrative process of concerned offices under the UPV Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Office of the Chancellor, Sept. 6, 2022.

The participants were welcomed by Chancellor Clement Camposano and Vice Chancellor for Administration Prof. John Lorenz Belanio to the activity held in the Conference Room at the New Administration Building, UPV Miagao campus.

Through the UPVTC Administrative Process Benchmarking Activity, UPVTC personnel were able to meet and consult their counterparts to observe and learn more about administrative operations and practices in records management, budgeting and accounting, cash service, supply and property management, and human resource management.

Those who discussed these matters were Ms. Jocelyn Genesila, Accounting Office Chief; Ms. Maureen Kay Ongo, Cash Office Chief; Ms. Arlene Avanceña, Budget Office Chief; Ms. Ella Tidon, Human Resources Development Office Chief; Ms. Emiliza Lozada, Supply and Property Services Office Chief, and Ms. Liza Selibio from the Office of the Chancellor.

The said activity aimed to develop a deeper understanding of the identified administrative functions and operations based on a broader appreciation of the University as a system.

It was also able to help UPVTC personnel to learn best practices and strategies for improving operational efficiency and effectiveness and human resource development.

The UPVTC participants were Ms. Rosanna Burre, Ms. Karen Reyes, Ms. Catherine Moreno, Mr. Delfin Aledro, Jr., Ar. Roan Jane Abrajano, Ms. Maria Vivian Montes, Ms. Maria Edna Sevilla, and Mr. Telesforo Sales.

They will likewise consult their counterparts at UP Baguio on Sept. 8. (Mr. Carlson B. Alelis, IPO with sources from OVCA)
