The Ugnayan ng Pahinungod/Oblation Corps (UP/OC) Council, composed of the Directors from the UP System and Constituent Universities (CU), held its 26th Council Meeting on July 14-16, 2022, at the UP Visayas Campus. This is the first time that the UP Visayas (UPV) UP/OC hosted the UP System UP/OC Council Meeting and the first time that the event was held outside Luzon.
The UP/OC Council, together with their respective staff, paid a courtesy call to UPV Chancellor Dr. Clement C. Camposano during the first day of the three-day event. Chancellor Camposano gave the group a warm welcome and proceeded to highlight the vital role that the UP/OC plays in shaping the future of the University of the Philippines.
Other UPV Officials were also present during the courtesy call, including Vice Chancellor for Administration Prof. John Lorenz R. Belanio, Vice Chancellor for Research and Extension Dr. Harold M. Monteclaro, and Vice Chancellor for Planning and Development Dr. Rhodella A. Ibabao.
The group also had the chance to explore the beauty of the UPV Miagao and Iloilo City campuses. The three-day event was concluded with a visit to the UPV-COP BIDANI partner community in Barangay San Roque, Nueva Valencia Guimaras, to discuss avenues for UP/OC engagement and potential partnerships.
