Rag-Weaving Training for the Children in Conflict with the Law

The Technical Institute of Iloilo City (TIIC)-Molo Campus, in partnership with Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U) and City Social Welfare and Development Office, conducted the livelihood and skills training in rag-weaving for Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) in Dalayunan, A Home for Boys, at Brgy. Bo. Obrero, Lapuz district March 4.

Six (6) CICLs, together with their parents and Dalayunan Home Parents, participated in the undertaking.

Colorful rags are made out of worn-out clothes handcrafted by participants.

As part of their growth and rehabilitation, the initiative provides a positive outlook for the children, which will encourage positive emotions, releasing all the tension.

This would also help uplift their economic status and employability, which will sustain their families once the children return home. (Iloilo City PIO)
