Iloilo City Government gave cash incentives to 10 senior citizens aged 80 and 90 years old at City Hall Feb. 14.
Beneficiaries Virginia B. Panaguiton of Brgy. So-oc, Arevalo and Consolacion S. Banzuelo of Brgy. Jalandoni, Lapuz, both 90, received P20,000 each.
Recipients aged 80 years old got P10,000 each including Milagros Pelobello of Brgy. Calumpang, Molo; Lolita Garcia of Brgy. Libertad, Lapuz; Fermina Durban of Brgy. Lapuz; Nicanor Bayona of Benedicto St., Mandurriao; Lilia dela Paz of Brgy. Calaparan, Arevalo; Rogelio Sapio of Brgy. San Jose, Arevalo; Teresita Tendras of Dela Rama St., City Proper; and Jesusa Tadifa of Benedicto St., Jaro.
The granting of incentives is provided under the amended Ilonggo Centenarian Ordinance to include senior citizens when they celebrate their 80th and 90th birthdays starting Dec. 9, 2019 when the rule took effect. (Iloilo City PIO)
