The UPV CM team finished as first runner-up during the PANAnaw Awards: The PANAF Brand Communications Students’ Competition 2022 National Finals.
Team CM is composed of John Dyrick Dormis, Kristine Claire Deseo, Erica Gillian Bulaclac, Frienze Ira Gardose, Rizi Lyn Villareal, Vince Delfin, and Diana Pearl Tano. Delfin and Tano. All of them are BS in Business Administration (Marketing) students at the College of Management, UP Visayas, Iloilo City campus. CM Faculty members Prof. Maria Theresa Albaña, Ms. Pearl Gladys Diano, and Mr. Oscar Jinon, Jr. were the team’s coaches.
The PANAnaw Grand Finals was held on November 26, 2022, via Zoom with social media live streaming. A total of 18 schools nationwide participated in this year’s competition. The judges initially selected their top ten, and only five advanced to participate in the live presentation. The subject is a travel brand that sells premium travel products, and the competition climaxed with the finalists pitching their brand communications campaign before a panel of judges comprised of industry professionals. UPV CM placed 1st runner-up for the campaign “Re-experience Excitement.”
The PANAnaw competition is an annual event of the Philippine Association of National Advertisers Foundation (PANAF) where top marketing students from schools throughout the country compete in the conceptualization, design, and presentation of a full-blown brand communications strategy that translates the theories learned in school into an actual marketing campaign.
Hailed as one of the most prestigious brand communications competitions for students, the PANAnaw attracts the county’s brightest young marketers and is mainly geared toward the professional advancement of future marketing practitioners.
