Iloilo City is reclassified under MECQ status from August 16 to 31, 2021. There is a decrease of COVID-19 cases and in the healthcare utilization rate in the city and the IATF placed the metro under MECQ.
On the mentioned dates, protocols may be lighter but the virus is still present in the community. It is still expected that every Ilonggo must remember that the actions of one take a huge part in the battle against the unseen enemy.
For the salient points about the updated status, the Iloilo City Government has provided an infographic for an easier understanding what are and are not allowed under MECQ.
Mayor Treñas also set a reminder to everyone not to be complacent and continue to follow the safety protocols to ensure Iloilo City’s recovery.
