Iloilo City – Only those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are the ones permitted to enter and transact at Iloilo City Hall for the whole week from August 2, 2021.
In a post by Mayor Jerry Treñas through his Facebook Page, he said that “For the whole week starting Monday (August 2), only fully vaccinated persons will be allowed to enter city hall.”
Those who have appointments should bring their vaccination cards with them as proof.
The reason for this according to the Mayor is to mitigate the possibility of the spread of infections especially the Delta COVID-19 variant.
In addition, Mayor Treñas reiterated that “City Hall is an enclosed building. While there are windows that are opened, not all offices have one.”
The Mayor also added that this is for the protection of the staff and the visitors.
Lastly, the Mayor has reminded the Ilonggos that mass gatherings are still prohibited. (With reports from Iloilo City Government and Mayor Jerry Treñas Page)
