Held at Book Latte’s Alternative Art Space, Carren Evangelista has shared her collection of coffee paintings to all of us. Through her mini solo exhibit entitled “Manggad”.

This is Carren Evangelista’s first solo mini-exhibit entitled “Manggad” which is a Hiligaynon translation for “treasure”. Manggad is often associated with wealth – money, land, jewelries but this artist is giving us a new twist of her own “Manggad”.

Manggad is a series of what the artist treasures in her life. The paintings are representation of her childhood which we may also relate because childhood is also a part of our adulthood.

Lastly, the message of Manggad goes to all the artist especially for those who are just starting – to never fear to make your own art of from the materials you can ever think of.
