Hubon Manunulat: West Visayan Writers, an organization of West Visayan writers whose aim is to promote, propagate, and preserve West Visayan literature; and Kasingkasing Press, a leading literary publishing house and online bookshop based in Iloilo City, will be holding the Magsugilanonay Kita: 4th West Visayan Mother Tongue Children’s Books Summit on 16-17 April 2021 at the University of the Philippine Visayas Auditorium. This two-day children’s book summit is a celebration of National Literature Month as it aims to gather teachers, writers, and artists within and outside the region who will share and exhibit their best practices in the field of children’s literature. There will also be talks, book launches, an art workshop.
We highly welcome papers om Western Visayan Mother Tongues research and development, creative writing process and production for children’s language and literature, and other papers related to Hiligaynon, Kinaray-a, and Aklanon children’s literature.
