Section 30 of Republic Act No. 10742, the Sanggunian Kabataan Reform Act of 2015 mandates the observance of Linggo ng Kabataan in very barangay, municipality, city and province on the week where the 12th of August falls to coincide with the International Youth Day.
This year, Linggo ng Kabataan 2021 will be centered around the International Youth Day 2021’s theme: Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health. Hosted by SK Iloilo Provincial Federation in partnership with the newly created Iloilo Provincial Youth Development Council, this year’s Linggo ng Kabataan celebration aims to highlight the meaningful participation of the young people in restoring the planet and protecting life, while integrating biodiversity in the transformation of food systems.
