As the page of Mayor Jerry Trenas have revealed that it has been receiving messages and calls regarding the situation of the medical staff of different hospitals here in Iloilo City, he immediately thought for ways how he can help them because right now we all need them to be strong and healthy. Through the efforts of his Manang Sandra who called her friends from the different hotels here in the city these hotels immediately sent beddings, pillow, toiletries for the medical staff.
Medical staff will be housed in 3 hospitals in our the temporary Uswag Dorms with different rooms per hospital. Currently, they will be occupying the Iloilo City College. The said college has a 72-bed capacity and allotted these are alloted for 30 staff from Western Visayas Medical Center; 25 is alloted for the staff from The Medical City and 17 is for West Visayas State University Medical Center.
In addition, the city have scheduled transportation for them.
Mayor Jerry Trenas reminded everyone that all these were made possible thru public private partnership. If the private sector and the government will continue to work together hand in hand in this battle against COVID-19, he believes that miracles can happen. Today was a big miracle and he thanked everyone who made this miracle happened.
