The Iloilo City Government is once again among the Top 3 finalists in Western Visayas for 2022 Search for Excellence in Local Government (EXCELL) Awards Validation of Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 6 Nov. 17.
Mayor Jerry Treñas, Vice Mayor Jeffrey Ganzon, city councilors, department heads, and employees showcased the programs, projects, and services.
“I am thankful that Iloilo City is on the list, a clear manifestation that our hard work and dedication as public servants are not going unnoticed,” Treñas stressed.
“I am equally grateful to the men and women of the Iloilo City Government, all departments and offices. If not for them, we would not have reached this part. We will continue to work for the benefit of all Ilonggos,” he added.
City Hall also expressed appreciation to private institutions, corporations, and the general public for their cooperation and support as the city moves to the next level of public service and good governance.
The validation assessed the performance of Iloilo City in various areas through programs and initiatives including Uswag Dialysis Center for Administrative governance; Iloilo City Dog Pound and Animal Shelter for Social Services; Jail Pantry Training for Economic Development; Green Tunnel Project for Environmental Management; Bike-related Ordinances and Resolutions for Local Legislation; and Iloilo City Action Response Center for Public Safety, Peace and Order.
