Iloilo City College to be the Temporary Accommodation for Medical Staff

In a Facebook Page, Mayor Jerry Trenas revealed that he has been receiving messages today that our fellow Ilonggos who are in the medical field are discriminated. Buses reject them, karinderyas won’t sell to them, their landlords evicted them.

Mayor Jerry Trenas reminded everyone to keep in mind that if they cannot eat or sleep well, they cannot go to work. Nobody will take care of you if you will be infected. And nobody would want to be treated this same way.

According to the post, to keep these medical staff safe, and with messages of concerned Ilonggos, the mayor would like to inform the medical staff that the Iloilo City College will be open for their accommodations. They can bring personal beddings and food in the meantime.

In addition, the mayor encourages everyone to help each other and be heroes in our own little ways. Let us make our fathers and forefathers proud. He invites sponsors for medical staffs’ food and lodging. Any help will go a long way.
