Lyelle Rowie Z. Galupar, a BS Public Health student in UP Visayas, won 1st place in the national poster competition during the Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week Celebration held at Clark Marriott Hotel, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.
Galupar won a cash prize of PHP 25,000 for his study titled “Telemedicine Situation and Patient Satisfaction in Miagao, Iloilo During the COVID-19 Pandemic (2020-2022): A Correlation Study.”
Before competing against seven other presenters at the national level, Galupar won at the regional level. Prof. Carl Bregente served as his adviser, while Dr. Adrienne Marrie S. Bugayong-Janagap served as his mentor in the creation of his poster.
CAS Dean Dr. Alice Joan G. Ferrer, who heads the Western Visayas delegation and serves as director of the Western Visayas Health Research and Development Consortium (WVHRDC), received the award along with Dr. Bugayong-Janagap on behalf of Galupar. (UPV-IPO)
