DSWD6 Requests More Food Packs for Ilonggos

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office VI immediately requested for additional food packs to help the Ilonggos cope during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) period.

Regional Director Ma. Evelyn B. Macapobre wrote DSWD Undersecretary Felicisimo Budiongan of DSWD Disaster Response Management Group on Wednesday, July 14, for the augmentation needed by the agency in Western Visayas.

Earlier, Mayor Jerry Trenas of Iloilo City expressed the need of Iloilo City workers and families for 150,000 family food packs per week. This need was also elevated to the agency head office, according to the Director.

“At the end of the day, we want every Ilonggo to thrive and be healthy amid the pandemic. We are doing our best to provide the needed aid,” said Director Macapobre.
