Iloilo City Gives Financial Aid

Mayor Jerry Trenas, through his official Facebook page, proudly announced the the city government will give an amount of P2,000 for the members of LGBTQ. They may not be qualified to the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) of the DSWD for the reason that they do not have their own partners and children eventhough their livelihood and sources of income are affected due to the extended enhanced community quarantine.

Help in Times of Crisis

Through this, the city government hopes that this assistance will be of great help for them especially while the city is still under ECQ. The fund of P500,000 from Cong. Loren Legarda will be divided to the members of the LGBTQ.

In addition, there are also funds from DOLE for 1,000 people. Others who were not qualified in SAP may also given the chance to be included in the list.

Iloilo City on the Way to GCQ

As Iloilo City comes nearer to GCQ (General Community Quarantine), Mayor Trenas is asking the Ilonggos for cooperation. Once we are classified under GCQ, we are no longer required to bring quarantine pass with us. Few protocols will remain such as wearing of masks at all times, observing social distancing and frequent handwashing or using of alcohol.
