Iloilo City Opens Drive-Thru Vaccination for Booster

The Iloilo City Government has opened two drive-thru vaccination sites to cater to more people who want to get their booster shots against COVID-19 starting January 31, 2022.

“In order to serve our constituents better, we have two drive-thru vaccination sites for boosters: SM Strata and Megaworld . We hope that more will be encouraged to get boosters from these sites,” Mayor Jerry P. Treñas said.

“I am thankful to the management of both companies for their support to us to boost our vaccination campaign,” he added.

SM Strata drive-thru is offering Pfizer as booster shot for city residents, those working in Iloilo City and vaccinated in Iloilo City.

Megaworld has Moderna vaccine, and will be open for the public, whether city resident or not.

The city still continues its regular vaccination for first dose, second dose and booster shots in mega sites at SM City Southpoint, Robinsons-Jaro, Megaworld Transport Hub, and district health centers.

There are a total of 435,510 fully-vaccinated including 392,977 adults 18 and above, and 42,533 minors aged 12-17 as of January 20, 2022.

A total of 122,190 residents in Iloilo City already had their booster shot to increase protection against Covid-19.

Boosters can be availed at least three months after getting second dose of AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer, Sinovac or Sputnik; and two months after single-dose Janssen. (Iloilo City PIO)
