Because you are reading this, I am assuming that you are a fan of cross stitch too and you want to organize your messy threads but you don’t want to spend any penny. Whoooooooo.
Yes you are at the right page! So here is what you need:
- Board – cheap board, folder, old special paper or any you can find at you home
- Pair of scissors
- Pencil
- A lot of patience
Step one:
First you have to decide what your pattern is going to be. As for me I chose butterfly. Using the pencil you can trace a silhouette of a butterfly at the board. Then cut it using your scissors. Make as many as you can or as many as the current thread you have.
Step Two:
One by one, you can start rolling your thread to the board. Tip: cut a little at the edge so you can place the end of the thread there.
Step Three:
In order that you won’t be confused on what color to use, please do not forget to cut the number of the thread which you can find at the thread itself and tape it at the board as well.
Step Four:
Here is where patience is about to begin. You need to repeat steps 2 and 3 until all thread are done.
Easy? Hoho it took me one day to finish 80 threads. But no problem, I was able to keep them better.
Another tip:
I am using so many needles so I can save time every time I need to use a certain color for a particular symbol. You can insert the needle at the thread on board.
Happy cross-stitching!
