The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) is gearing up its security preparation to ensure the safety of Ilonggos and visitors during the Dinagyang 2023 Pamukaw on early Friday morning, Dec. 16.

The ICPO’s security plan is now in place and ready to deploy police personnel and force multipliers to monitor and secure the attendees and venue of “Pamukaw.”

Uniformed and covert police patrols will be mobilized to catch criminals involved in petty crimes and other nefarious activities that could hamper the peace and order situation of the city.
The ICPO also advised those who planned to watch the event to be alert and security conscious about their safety and personal belongings such as cellphones, wallets, jewelry, and other valuables.
Meanwhile, the ICPO encourages the public to immediately report any incident or illegal activities to the police if they observe or witness any eventualities that may hamper the peace and order situation.

Moreover, on this day also is the start of “Simbang Gabi”, hence in compliance with the directives of the higher headquarters of the PNP, the ICPO will also maximize the deployment of its police personnel in churches and other places of convergence to deter criminalities.
Additionally, the PNP is also in “full alert” status during this season to ensure safety and peaceful Yuletide season and Dinagyang 2023 celebration in the metro.
