The National Commission for Culture and the Arts posted in their page an invitation to join challenge and design a digital pamana postcard for those looking for something to do while quarantined.
As part of the 2020 National Heritage Month celebration this May 2020, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts aims to spark more creativity, recognize local artists, and strengthen public engagement through various initiatives.

MECHANICS
1. The challenge is open to all art enthusiasts, digital artists, illustrators, and alike who are based in the Philippines and share the love for Filipino cultural heritage.
2. The postcard design shall be an engaging visualization of the rich cultural heritage of the country. To strenghten public awareness of the Philippine cultural heritage and advocate for its preservation, participants may choose to:(1) Feature cultural properties included in the Philippine Registry of Cultural Property (PRECUP) with righful labels; (2) Interpret this year’s NHM theme, “Mga Kuwentong Pamana” (Stories of Heritage), in adherence to the objectives of the NHM celebration.
3. Participants are only asked to design the front side of the postcard. The NCCA shall provide the default design for the back side.
4. Each participant is allowed to submit a maximum of two (2) designs only.
5. The postcard design shall be a digital art and shall bear the following specifications:
– Size: 5” x 7”
– Orientation: LANDSCAPE
– Color: RGB colors
– Rendering: .JPG, 72 dpi
(IMPORTANT NOTE: All participants are asked to prepare a version of their design rendered in 300dpi and with CMYK colors for printing purposes. The NHM secretariat shall request for this version from the recipients of the People’s Choice Award only.)
6. Participants are encouraged to sign their entry as well.
7. Participants are strictly advised to submit an original work and avoid using elements on the design which could possibly subject it to copyright infringement or violations to the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines when it comes to using the Philippine flag in designs.

9. Deadline for submission of form is on April 30, 2020.
10. Submissions will then be consolidated and released in the NCCA social media accounts for public awareness and appreciation. Artists of each design shall be rightfully credited. The public is encouraged to vote for the People’s Choice Award among all the entry submissions.
