Cezar L. Arro is one of the pillars of the Iloilo art scene who has now established a truly national niche with a growing circle of dedicated collectors. His distinctive style encompasses Expressionism, Modern and Contemporary.
He has been practicing visual arts for the past 21 years and has regularly been featured in local, national, and international publications, such as SunStar, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Contemporary Art Magazine of the Philippines, Elle Magazine and Asian Art News.
Arro served as chairman of Mind Art Torture, an organization of artists and musicians in Iloilo, from 1999 to 2005.
He’s been a multiple finalist in the Philippine Art Awards – in 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014. And he won the Visayas Art Awards in 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013.
He was a semi-finalist in the Metrobank Art and Design Excellence painting contest in 2005.
Arro has been featured in group art shows both locally and internationally since 1994.
He made his solo debut at Museo Iloilo in 2012 with “Deja Vu”.
This was quickly followed by solo shows at Gallerie Anna at SM Megamall in Manila in 2013 and 2014, at Rockwell Power Plant Mall in 2015, at Gallerie Anna again in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. He has just wrapped up “Infacestrokada”, his 9th solo show – a virtual exhibition amid the Covid19 community lockdown – at Galerie Roberto in Alabang.
