Glamping is a short term for “glamorous camping”. Casa Amistad offers guests ways to enjoy the outdoors and connect with nature but prefer not to rough it out in traditional camping settings.
The Casita
Unlike traditional camping, where individuals typically sleep in a tent, at Casa Amistad, you will be sleeping in a “casita”. Upon checking in, you will receive a glamping kit that includes your blanket, bath towel, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, and a sachet of shampoo with conditioner.
The casita is good for two persons with two single beds, two lampshades, and a wall fan. The casita can cater up to a maximum of three persons, given the third person is a child.
For the restroom, it is shared. They have one for men and one for women.
They currently have eight casitas.
The Food
Casa Amistad has an honesty store they called “La Tienda” where you can buy chips, hard drinks, candies, and other snacks. They also have a café where you can get your coffee fix and a restaurant that serves all-day breakfast, quick bites, and dessert.
Here are their menus for reference:
For our overnight stay, we get to try their coffee, pizza, several all-day breakfast options, their pork belly, and desserts.
The Activities
The must-try when you are here is their ATV ride. This is the most sophisticated trail I have ever been. This is perfect for all who are into adrenaline rush, seeking new adventures with a great combination of plain and rough road.
They also have their game room. Here, you can play mini golf, ping pong, several board games, and the thing we enjoyed the most – the billiard table.
The Nighttime
The bonfire is complementary to those who are staying overnight. If you want to spice up the experience, you can grill hotdogs and marshmallows. Hotdogs are at P60 per piece and marshmallows at P100 per pack.
The Pricing
The casita is P500 per head. The ATV ride is at P500 if one is going solo. If it is with an additional passenger (angkas), there is a P300 add on charge. The meals are usually priced at P150-P200 per head per meal. For the pricing on renting the whole place for a private event, you can message their page.
Day Tour
A day tour is also available for those who are not going overnight. It is P200, consumable.
How to Get There
Casa Amistad is in Cordova Sur, Tigbauan, Iloilo. If you have your private vehicle, you can use the shortcut before the town plaza. You can turn right at the road near the Iglesia ni Kristo and what the locals call a “mansion”. Those who are from Leon and nearer area can also use the road where the Tigbauan-Leon jeep is passing by.
For those who are commuting, you can ride a Tigbauan jeepney at Iloilo Terminal Market (but it is under renovation now) but you can also get a ride at Mohon Terminal. Drop by Tigbauan Plaza and look for a tricycle that is plying “Cordova Sur”. Since Casa Amistad is just new, some may not be familiar with it yet so you can use the landmark “back of Church in Cordova Sur” or “sa likod sang simbahan sang Cordova Sur”.
