BFAR Region 6 Buys Fishes to Landlocked Areas

BFAR Region 6 has posted in their Facebook Page that the agency recently brought fishes to landlocked areas and to those with limited supply. This is to ensure that fish is available to everyone.

BFAR 6 has partnered with PLGU Iloilo and Guimaras to identify priority areas to distribute fresh fish supply. While the Bureau procured some of the assorted fish, they also want to thank Nulada Trading, VICMAR Fishing, ERL Fishing Corporation, Gidor Fishing Corporation, and YYN Faith Fishing Corporation in helping them reach more people.

Among the recipients were Indigenous people, residents, frontliners and municipal volunteers.

Fishing activities are allowed amid the state of public health emergency in the country due to COVID-19. The Department of Agriculture (DA) advisories to permit all farming activities during the enhanced community quarantine. Same with farming.
